I earned a Bachelor of Science from the University of Lafayette and a Master of Science from Florida Atlantic University, participating in research on sea turtle migrations, sea anemone reproduction, estuarine toxicology, oyster reef ecology, and estuarine food webs. The most exciting part was sharing what we learned and explaining the science behind the research and outcomes, setting me on the path to be a science teacher. I've taught science in middle school, high school, as well as college, finding the interests and engagement of high school students to be incomparable.
